Job Description
Experience
- Five years of experience in postgraduate social work
- Practiced at least 2,000 clock hours over a minimum of two years following clinical social work licensure
Preferred Qualifications
- Three years of experience in a pediatric medical setting
Education
- Master’s degree in social work from an accredited graduate school
Certification Summary
- Georgia Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Must be able to successfully pass the Basic Windows Skill Assessment at 80% or higher rating within 30 days of employment
- Ability to work as part of interdisciplinary team
- Knowledge of age-appropriate treatment and practice
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinates the ongoing process of social work service delivery to patients and families, incorporating age-related and developmental-specific requirements.
- Provides back-up clinical care to patients and families to assist with caseload management.
- Demonstrates fiscal responsibility and accountability by overseeing budget preparation and monthly budget oversight for cost center and donor funds.
- Manages the performance and utilization of staff for effective and efficient services.
- Participates in the performance improvement process for the department, including responsibility for accreditation readiness.
- Supervises and coordinates social work student education.
Participates in professional development activities for direct and indirect reports.
- Manages daily operations of the Social Work program for the system.
