Site Supervisor

In this role, you will report to the Manager, Onsite Services and will work closely with the Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel – and our customers – to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Location: Lincoln, NE

Shift: Monday – Friday, 8 am - 5 pm

What we’re looking for

• Education: High school diploma or GED is required; Associate degree or undergraduate degree in business or science related field is preferred.
• Experience: 4 years' experience in customer services, purchasing, and/or account management required; Previous experience managing associates is required.
• Collaboration Tool: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and basic understanding of Microsoft Access.
• SAP order entry skills are a plus
• Excellent people and communication skills
• Highly organized
• Heavy customer interface via face to face, email and telephone
• Communication of product delivery dates, pricing and product alternatives
• Prior knowledge of lab products, a big plus

In this role you will:

• Inventory POU Management Services. Avantor Site Supervisor manage a team of 3 people and will be responsible for data collection, order entry and order confirmation to bring inventory to the designated maximum level per Avantor system(s).
• As per mutually-agreed-upon schedule, coordinate delivery so that all point of use orders will be delivered to Customer in a timely manner. Will notify Customer in advance if there is a risk of possible product stock out due to delivery timeframe.
• Coach and motivate team members to successfully perform job requirements and to meet / exceed goals and objectives. Encourages through mentoring, as well as supporting individual, professional and team growth.
• Nonchemical consumable orders and one-off orders for labs and R&D group.
• Inventory trending and usage information will be captured and provided monthly as per Reporting outlined below. Avantor will review team to review service level performance, usage trends and discuss inventory improvement proposals by Avantor.
• Bi-monthly media orders for the micro lab, rotation of stock, review of product mix, returns, receiving files, and replenish inventory at point of use locations.
• Corrective action will be taken on all non-compliant inventory not meeting customer specifications.
