Sewing Machine Operator

Job Summary & ResponsibilitiesUses flanging machine to sew mattress panels and flange material together while trimming panels and cutting excess material. Preferred Qualifications

• Continuous standing while operating the sewing machine.
• Frequent walking to retrieve materials and put finished unit into storage areas.
• Frequent pushing and pulling of work piece while on the sewing table.
• Frequent repetitive use of hands/arms while aligning pieces of fabric and feeding them into the machine.
• Frequent repetitive use of foot to activate the sewing machine.
• Frequent lifting and carrying of work in process, less than 10 pounds.
• Occasional reaching over head to retrieve component parts.
• Occasional grasping of fabric pieces and scissors.
• Occasional lifting and carrying of pieces up to 25 pounds.
• Must be 18 years of age or older
