Job Description
- The Service Manager role is based at our Hinckley Regional Service Centre in Hinckley, Leicestershire and is responsible for managing a service team, working closely with project managers and site supervisors, to deliver service activities on time and within budget and in accordance with local and companywide HSE and Quality systems/standards.
- Works in full coordination with UK Regional Service Director and other international HZI teams to promote and sell our large portfolio of spare parts, mechanical and process retrofit offerings.
- To plan Customers visits (HZI and non-HZI plants, central organizations) in view of identifying and creating new opportunities.
- Takes full responsibility for the management of customer accounts, including overseeing the delivery of Service activities including profit and loss.
- Demonstrates a detailed technical knowledge of EfW plant technology.
- Understands the UK & Ireland EfW market situation and identifies opportunities by developing and maintaining close contacts with existing and potential Customers.
- Contributes to strategic account management.
- Supports product management by identifying market needs and presents HZI products to clients.
- Identifies opportunities in the HZI CRM system and follow the sales process. Foster the use of HZI’s CRM as unique sales process support tool including forecasting and reporting.
- Creates Customer-specific bids (including calculations) and follows these up until contract conclusion or rejection.
- Independently supervises his/her assigned service projects and outages, plans bidding and project work and associated resources
- Accountable for service works scope, cost, schedule, and quality.
- Represents the project interests externally partners, subcontractors, internally the other departments, in particular the Process and Engineering department
- Ensures overall service project coordination.
- Defines, manages and updates risk and opportunities.
- Accountable for the delivery of all service project documentation (Technical, Quality, HSE, Cost Control, etc.)
- If required, project management on site (working with Site supervisor in the coordination of subcontractors, Customer support)
- Ability to apply continuous Change control and plus/minus list cost management without upsetting customer relationship and future business potential.

- Experience in the field of mechanical and plant engineering.
- Good Communicator.
- Service Sales: Service Agreements, Overhauls, Pressure parts, Upgrades, Spare Parts, Training.
- Service Execution: Project management and organisation skills, ability to lead a team effectively.
- Service Technical: Ability to complete Audits, Write technical reports.
