Role Overview: As an SEO Manager, you will be responsible for managing the SEO performance of a portfolio of priority clients. You will lead the implementation of SEO strategies, ensuring the delivery of effective and relevant SEO practices. You will also assist in new business development and contribute to the growth of sustainable SEO monthly retainers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive ongoing performance on SEO campaigns by implementing effective strategies and best practices.
  • Lead internal strategy meetings to define and refine SEO strategies.
  • Monitor client organic performance and ensure KPIs and targets are met.
  • Conduct technical audits and bespoke technical SEO analysis to remove impediments to SEO performance.
  • Undertake in-depth competitor and link profile analysis to identify opportunities for clients.
  • Provide coaching and development to junior team members.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and techniques to ensure the company remains at the forefront of SEO practices.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Search Engine Marketing across multiple industries and campaigns.
  • Proven track record of delivering SEO performance.
  • Advanced technical understanding of SEO practices and associated tools.
  • Experience using industry-standard tools such as Google Analytics, Screaming Frog, SEMRush, Ahrefs, and Moz.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand, report, and act on data.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in providing 1-2-1 and group training.
  • Strong understanding of HTML and CSS.
  • Understanding of JavaScript and its impact on SEO.
  • Ability to use FTP and database management software.
  • Educated to degree level.
