Principal Duties & Responsibilities

- Develop and own product cost models from project concept through development, keep informed of definition changes, and provide regular cost projection updates to business teams as assumptions change.
- Support project roadmap decision-making by providing cost analyses to Product Management teams, including but not limited to recommendations regarding die size and technology cost trade-off.
- Provide foundry negotiation support by conducting die cost/wafer price analyses and proposing negotiation targets.
- Perform cost variance reporting. Understand product cost structure, identify and analyze quarterly variances, and visualize cost deltas.
- Work with cross-functional teams (Sourcing, Finance, Engineering) to drive quarterly cost update cycles. Responsible for ensuring data accuracy and completeness of updates.
- Utilize strong follow-up, influencing, and negotiation skills to drive gaps to closure and ensure timely execution of cross-functional activities required for cost update.
- Monitor and validate product setups in the system and provide inputs in cross-functional forum.
- Train users on completing system inputs/tasks and troubleshoot missing cost inputs/calculations.
- Provide routine and ad-hoc reporting for internal customers. Streamline current reporting and develop new reports to better address business needs.
- Organize and attend meetings with cross-functional teams to drive alignment on updated cost/price assumptions. Maintain internal cost database and ensure it is always up-to-date.
- Identify and define new process improvement opportunities.

IT Core Competencies

Proficient with Microsoft Office suite; advanced knowledge of Excel is a must (vlookups, pivot tables, etc.).

Required Competencies

4-10 years of experience in Financial/Business analyst or similar role with proven knowledge of financial/cost modelling and analyzing/interpreting cost and cost drivers.

Minimum Qualifications

BS/BA in Business, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or similar background.

Preferred Qualifications

Semiconductor foundry and/or SAT experience a strong plus. Knowledge of process technologies, silicon wafer pricing, semiconductor capital equipment cost, and performance feature sets of node choices highly desirable.
