We are seeking a Senior Underwriting professional for an exciting opportunity within the Financial Lines business segment. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and servicing a portfolio focused on Financial Institutions.

What you need to know:

  • The ability to offer profitable coverage and terms that effectively meet the diverse needs of customers across various products
  • Responsible for a book of new and renewal business
  • Regularly visits brokers and attends client meetings
  • Provides training and mentoring to less experienced underwriters
  • Stays current on industry and market trends
  • Coverage analysis of manuscript forms with the ability to tailor them to specific client needs
  • Pricing analysis using data analytics and modeling tools
  • Ability to cross-sell amongst the organization
  • Ability to make presentations and communicate articulately
  • Achieve assigned budget targets
  • Maintain profitability

What we are looking for

  • Minimum 3 to 4 years of Financial Lines experience managing a large and complex book of business from multiple brokers
  • In depth knowledge of Financial Institutions management liability and professional liability insurance products and concepts
  • Post-Secondary Education OR equivalent industry education and experience
  • Experience developing and maintaining a broad network of brokerage relationships
  • Ability to work independently to meet deadlines following company guidelines as well as in a team-oriented approach to accomplish goals
  • Strong analysis and decision-making skills
  • The candidate will possess a strong drive to succeed
