Job Description
UOB Innovation Hub 2 (InnoHub 2) is a newly established technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur. It is part of UOB Group Technology and Operations, focused on delivering innovative financial technology solutions that drive business growth and digital transformation.
About the Department
The Technology and Operations function comprises five specialized teams: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance, and planning support and services. These teams collaborate to harness the power of technology in supporting UOB’s physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralizing, and standardizing technology systems and banking operations across Singapore and our overseas branches.
Job Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Developer in the Enterprise Workflow System (EWF) team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade workflow solutions. You will work closely with system analysts, architects, and other developers to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business needs and comply with UOB’s technology standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain workflow applications using technologies such as IBM FileNet, IBM Case Manager, IBM Content Navigator (ICN), and related platforms.
- Translate functional and non-functional requirements into technical specifications and system designs.
- Collaborate with system analysts, architects, and developers to ensure smooth and timely delivery of projects and change requests.
- Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing to ensure software quality and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across development and production environments.
- Ensure compliance with UOB’s architectural standards, security policies, and development practices.
- Document technical designs, configurations, and operational procedures.
Key Collaborators:
- System Analysts for requirement clarification and transition.
- Developers and QA teams for implementation and testing.
- Domain Architects for design alignment and guidance.
- Security Architects for integration of security safeguards.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Provide technical input for impact assessments and effort estimations related to change requests.
- Lead proof-of-concept initiatives to evaluate new technologies and validate design approaches.
- Work closely with stakeholders across business, operations, and technology teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
- Support testing phases and assist in resolving defects and clarifying test findings.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing and best practices.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in enterprise software development, preferably in banking or financial services.
- Hands-on experience with IBM FileNet, IBM Case Manager, ICM Widgets, and IBM Content Navigator (ICN).
- Proficient in Java, JavaScript, Dojo, and SQL.
- Experience with Oracle databases and open systems environments.
- Familiarity with IBM DataCap, BPM tools, and UI/UX design principles is a plus.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and waterfall methodologies.
- Experience working in distributed teams, including offshore collaboration.
