(Senior) System Analyst - Associate - Post-trade Systems - IT - 12 months contract

Job Summary:
IT Post Trade Systems is responsible for the design, implementation and support of HKEX systems for the clearing and settlement of cash equities and derivative products, nominee and depository functions, and collateral and risk management platforms. The department is looking for an experienced IT professional in system development.Job Duties:
As a (Senior) System Analyst - Associate in Post Trade Systems IT, the incumbent would work on the delivery of the next-generation of clearing and settlement system which handles cash equities’ settlement instructions electronically among our clearing participants. The successful candidate can gain working knowledge of building critical market infrastructure provided by HKEX and rewarding experience of being participated in a green field project in HKEX.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for system design and implementation in high quality standard throughout SDLC cycle
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features
- Design and implement application that follows HKEX standard technology stacks and meets business requirements with adequate test case coverage
- Maintain detailed documentation such as technical specifications, deployment procedures as well as contingency procedures
- Troubleshoot issues reported from system integration tests, business UAT and regression tests in a timely manner
- Ensure application can meet all necessary technical and compliance requirements such as architecture, security and infrastructure and performance
- Provide ongoing production support and BAU tasks after go-live
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Java backend / web front-end development using React JS or other HTML5 technologies
- Practical experience in Microservices, Container, and REST API development
- Familiar with DevOps life cycles and tools (e.g. Jira, Git, Junit, Docker, etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in application security (OAuth2, API security, encryption & signing etc.) is an advantage
- Experience in messaging systems (ActiveMQ, Solace, Kafka) or in-house messaging bus implementation is an advantage
- Knowledge of FIX / Swift messaging protocols is an advantage
- Experience architecting / developing applications within the financial services or capital markets industry is an advantage
