The team focuses on developing and implementing low-level firmware and software for advanced Compute, Storage, and Custom ASIC platforms.

You will collaborate closely with Hardware, Design, and Software teams to bring up, test, and validate new products, ensuring secure operation, high performance, and seamless system integration.

What You Can Expect

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

• Design and develop firmware for Marvell's diverse portfolio of Compute, Storage, and Custom ASIC solutions.

• Partner closely with the hardware engineering team to bring up, test, and validate the hardware reference platforms across product lines.

• Design and implement software/firmware for Management Controllers to improve the testability and validation of Marvell silicon solutions.

• Support software/firmware qualification by creating comprehensive test cases, contributing to test automation, and advancing CI/CD pipeline development.

Additional Responsibilities – DDR4/DDR5 Memory Subsystem:

• Support DDR4/DDR5 bring‑up, initialization, and platform‑level validation.

• Develop firmware for DDR training, calibration, and memory controller configuration.

• Perform DDR timing/SI debugging and validate reliability features such as ECC and scrubbing.

• Assist with DIMM/SPD/PMIC integration and lab-based SI/PI measurements.

What We're Looking For

• BS / MS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering and 5–10 years of experience in firmware/software development.

• Hands-on experience with low-level platform software/firmware, including hardware bring-up and debugging.

• Strong knowledge of Arm Cortex‑M, Cortex‑A, and RISC‑V cores.

• Proficiency in C programming and debugging.

• Proficiency in Zephyr, Tock, or other real-time operating systems (RTOS).

• Experienced with DDR4/DDR5 DIMM architecture, including channel topology, rank/sub‑channel design, SPD/XMP, and PMIC. Skilled in Addr/Cmd/DQ/DQS routing, DRAM timing tuning, refresh/ZQ calibration, and ODT/DRV optimization. Familiar with DDR4/DDR5 training flows (write/read leveling, DQS gate, VrefDQ/CA training) and DLL/PLL frequency alignment.
