We’re looking for a skilled C#/.NET Developer to join the NumberCruncher development team and help accelerate product enhancements and innovation. The ideal candidate is passionate about building scalable, reliable software and thrives in a collaborative environment. You’ll work closely with our product and support teams to design, develop, and maintain modern web applications that power our business software solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain web and desktop applications using C#, ASP.NET, ASP.NET Core, and .NET Windows Forms.
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs and web services to support integrations and internal tools.
  • Collaborate with the product team to translate business requirements into clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
  • Utilize Entity Framework and SQL Server for database design, optimization, and data access.
  • Implement responsive UI components using Bootstrap, JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX.
  • Manage source control and workflow using Git and Jira.
  • Ensure application security, scalability, and performance best practices.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues quickly and effectively.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, and Web API.
  • Frontend Development: Hands-on experience with Bootstrap, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, and responsive design principles.
  • Database Development: Proficient in SQL, Entity Framework, and relational database design.
  • Tools & Workflow: Experience using Visual Studio / Visual Studio Code, Git, and Jira for version control and task management.
  • API Development: Skilled in designing and consuming RESTful APIs and working with JSON data structures.
  • Problem Solving: Strong debugging skills and ability to identify and resolve performance issues.
  • Collaboration: Excellent communication and teamwork skills with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable learning new technologies and frameworks to support evolving business needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of professional experience developing applications with C# and the .NET Framework / .NET Core
  • Proven experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
  • Hands-on experience with ASP.NET MVC, Web API, and Entity Framework
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and experience writing efficient queries and stored procedures
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, and Bootstrap
  • Proficiency using Git for version control and Visual Studio / Visual Studio Code as primary IDEs
  • Experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments with Jira or similar tools
  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills
