About the Team
The Marketplace Optimization team is responsible for the projection and forecasting tools that allow the users to leverage on it and then make a business decision. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our team.
Role Summary
The Senior Software Engineer, Ads Marketplace Engineer will play a key role in designing and optimizing the next generation platform powering the Cardlytics Ad Marketplace. You will be part of a team rethinking and redefining ads delivery and optimization at scale, with a direct impact on millions of customers every day. You will need to have a solid grasp of scalability challenges and bring in novel ideas to solve interesting problems in distributed systems, API services, data engineering and machine learning. To be successful in this role, you will need to have prior experience in building scalable production-quality data pipelines. Hands-on experience developing for digital advertising platforms will be a plus.
Job Responsibilities

Work with applied data scientists to implement and maintain ML models and their pipelines, including but not limited to
-
Forecasting models that enable analysis of live campaigns, aiding advertisers in budget allocation and strategic decision-making.

Ad ranking models that support ad display ordering.

Bid pricing models in ad auctions.

Utilize data analytics to extract meaningful insights and develop algorithms for Marketplace tools.

Lead the design and architecture of robust and scalable software systems to support the development of Marketplace tools and the broader ecosystems.

Evaluate and recommend new technologies and frameworks that can improve the development and performance of the tools.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Collaborate with product managers, sales, and other engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions that align with business objectives.

Enforce coding standards and best practices to maintain high-quality, maintainable code.

Ensure comprehensive documentation for all developed tools, facilitating ease of maintenance and knowledge transfer.
Qualifications / Skills
-
We are looking for a candidate with 4+ years of experience in a Software Engineer role, who has attained a BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.

Experience designing, building, and maintaining big data processing systems.

Experience designing, building, and maintaining API services.
-
Experience with a statically typed language like Java/Scala/C++/Go and a scripting language like Python. Proficiency in Python and/or Scala is a plus.

Experience with big data processing frameworks: Spark, Dask, Flink etc.

Experience with workflow orchestration tools: Airflow, Perfect, etc.
-
Experience with AWS cloud services: Glue, EMR, Lambda, etc.
-
Experience with MLOps frameworks and platforms: Databricks, SageMaker, WandB etc. Hands-on experience with Databricks is a plus.

Experience with machine learning and statistical modeling is a plus.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Compensation
At Cardlytics salary ranges are determined based on factors such as role, level, and location. Individual compensation may be determined by relevant skills, experience, education, training, and other role-specific criteria. This salary range will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of the aforementioned factors.The base salary range provided below does not include bonuses and additional benefits.
The annual US base salary range for this role is:
Range: $180,000 - $215,000
