At Creative Play Lab, we exist to imagine and build radically new LEGO® experiences that delight the builders of tomorrow and inspire transformation across The LEGO Group. Our innovation spans far and wide—from groundbreaking play concepts and new business models to bold go-to-market strategies and portfolio shifts that can redefine the play industry.
As a Project Leader, you are the critical link between visionary ideas and real-world impact. You’ll ensure that pioneering innovations don’t just stay in the lab—they successfully integrate into the full value chain and scale across the business. Through exceptional project leadership and change management, you’ll prepare the organization for seamless adoption, enabling new experiences to reach the market and deliver on their promise to inspire and delight.
This is more than a project management role—it’s about connecting creativity with execution, aligning diverse stakeholders, and making transformation tangible across the LEGO ecosystem.
Responsibilities
Lead Complex Projects: Drive large-scale initiatives across physical products both with and without tech, digital experiences, and service solutions, including integrated 360° campaign development.
Apply Advanced Project Leadership: Utilize your expertise in traditional project management, Agile methodologies, and facilitation to deliver innovative solutions while ensuring alignment with established innovation processes.
Foster High-Performing Teams: Demonstrate strong people insight and team dynamics awareness, taking proactive steps to address performance challenges and lead informally when needed.
Leverage LEGO Operating Models: Leverage deep knowledge of the LEGO® Operating Model to influence and develop adjacent models that support evolving business needs.
Champion Change: Act as a catalyst for transformation beyond CPL, balancing a strong strategic point of view with exceptional stakeholder management and people leadership skills.
Engage Senior Stakeholders: Negotiate effectively with senior leaders across multiple areas to secure alignment and resources for successful delivery.
Navigate Global Complexity: Thrive in a globally distributed team environment and lead confidently in a VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex, ambiguous) world.
Requirements
5–7 years of project and/or people leadership experience in complex innovation environments, with a proven ability to apply a solid project management toolbox and inspire teams to thrive and perform.
End-to-End Expertise: Strong understanding of the full value chain for both physical, technical and digital products/services.
Business Flow Knowledge: Ability to navigate the end-to-end flow of goods, money, and data to drive innovation, de-risk solutions and enable successful launches of new experiences.
Change Leadership: Demonstrated success in leading change within start-up-like environments, managing high levels of uncertainty and ambiguity while remaining comfortable with large-company processes and governance.
Resilience & Problem-Solving: Skilled at removing roadblocks, finding alternative solutions, and staying resilient in complex, fast-changing situations.
