A Payroll Analyst bridges global payroll operations and financial insight—making sure employees are paid correctly and timely.
The purpose of the role is to ensure the accuracy, compliance, and integrity of payroll operations by analyzing payroll data, monitoring controls, and providing insights that support effective decision‑making. The role focuses on identifying discrepancies, trends, and risks within payroll processes while ensuring adherence to legal, statutory, and company requirements.
By transforming payroll data into meaningful analysis and recommendations, the Payroll Analyst supports continuous process improvement, audit readiness, cost control, and reliable reporting for HR, Finance, and leadership stakeholders.
About the team
Global Payroll Team ensures all employees of Verisk are paid accurately, consistently, and on time, in full compliance with all applicable legal, statutory, and company requirements. The team is responsible for delivering reliable payroll services that protect employee trust, support financial integrity, and minimize operational and compliance risk.
Responsibilities- Calculate and process employee wages, salaries, bonuses, commissions, and overtime on a global scale
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing across multiple countries (weekly, biweekly, monthly cycles)
- Review and validate timesheets, attendance data, and all payroll inputs
- Manage off-cycle payrolls, including corrections, final payments, and special payouts
- Calculate and process payroll taxes and statutory contributions in line with local regulations
- Ensure full compliance with applicable laws and reporting requirements
- Prepare and submit statutory filings and payroll-related reports
- Administer employee lifecycle changes, including hires, terminations, and benefits updates
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adherence to data protection standards
- Support reporting needs by preparing monthly and ad hoc payroll data
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, Audit teams, and external payroll providers
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance payroll accuracy and efficiency
- Contribute to projects and additional tasks as required
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Accounting, or related field is a plus, supporting strong numerical and analytical capabilities
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Fluent in English and Polish with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience with payroll systems and knowledge of payroll processes, garnishments, and benefits administration
- Proficient in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP), Word, Outlook; Oracle experience a plus
- Strong research, problem-solving, and solutions-oriented mindset
We offer hybrid work model with 2 days per week in our Krakow office.
