Job Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with Device Engineering Team, National & Local RF teams, PMO and formulate plans for executing field testing activities
  • Develop test cases together with Device & RAN Engineering Team and evaluate performance behavior of new devices & RAN software releases in production environments
  • Support RAN FOA/FFI & Device performance/QA testing and evaluation
  • Work on evolving field test case automation process to improve field testing efficiency
  • Directly collaborate continuously with your peers in Network and Systems Development to manage hands-on technical work on escalated device/network quality engineering matters, and to refer major hardware and/or software issues or defective product issues to vendors and manage to resolution; as a team, with one voice, associated executive communications on such matters
  • Motivate and manage staff to accomplish important objectives and multiple demands, creating a sense of urgency in all tasks
  • Hold teams accountable for their deliverables and ensure that projects are delivered by agreed-upon timelines
  • Lead your teams to define, document, and manage scope, expectations, implementation approach, deliverables, and validation and verification acceptance criteria
  • Regularly interact across functional areas with senior management and executives to ensure expected outcomes and objectives are met
  • Evaluate, implement, manage, and continuously improve device & network engineering operation processes and procedures, by the standards and procedures set out by the organization

Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or Telecommunications Engineering
  • 6-8 years of hands-on experience in Device Engineering and/or Radio Access Network (RAN)
  • Experience managing a team of test engineers
  • Solid field testing experience and automation setup
  • Solid experience working with RAN SW Tools; the following are examples (but not limited to) Accuver/TEMS/NEMO/Solutelia/Ookla/Keysight/Viavi/Spirent/Wireshark/QXDM
  • Solid experience in collecting, post processing, analyzing and reporting RAN related studies

Skills and Qualifications:
  • In-depth knowledge of mobile networks, especially on 3GPP and FCC LTE 4G and 5G standards in RAN and the interface between radio network and core network
  • Familiarity of ORAN split option 7-2x and related architecture design into both Radio and baseband directions is a plus
  • Fair understanding of software development processes
  • Good inter-personal skills, verbal & written communication skills
  • Curious mindset striving for continuous learning and innovation
  • Scripting and programming skills is a plus (but not mandatory)

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $127,050.00/Year - $181,500.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
