The Senior Manager, Product Cybersecurity is responsible for actively contributing to technical security solutions, including scripting, automation, and security tool integration within R&D and manufacturing environments. This individual will work cross-functionally to ensure the secure development of products while implementing and optimizing security controls.

This position is part of the Global Product Security located in Bangalore and will be on-site. At Beckman Coulter, our mission is to Relentlessly Reimagine Healthcare, One Diagnosis at a Time.

You will be a part of the Global Product Security team reporting to the Sr. Director of Global Product Security (GPS) responsible for leading product security initiatives globally. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive cybersecurity strategies specifically tailored for Research & Development (R&D) and product security.
• Ensure that these strategies align with the organization's overall risk management framework and business objectives.
• Advocate for and integrate security best practices throughout the entire product development and manufacturing lifecycle.
• Collaborate with product teams to embed security measures from the initial design phase through to deployment.
• Indirectly manage and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure the effective implementation of security requirements across various departments.
• Provide guidance and support to teams to facilitate the adoption of security protocols.
• Continuously assess and incorporate cutting-edge cybersecurity technologies to strengthen the security posture of R&D operations.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Utilize scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash to develop automated cybersecurity solutions.
• Focus on enhancing security testing, compliance checks, and risk management processes through automation.
• Deploy and manage security controls within R&D environments, ensuring secure software development practices.
• Configure cloud security settings and implement vulnerability management solutions to protect sensitive data and systems.
• Partner with engineering teams to design and incorporate security features directly into product architecture.
• Provide expert advice on security design principles and ensure seamless integration into existing systems.
• Stay informed about emerging trends and innovations in cybersecurity and evaluate their applicability to the organization.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Industry certifications such as CSSLP, CISSP, GIAC Secure Software Programmer, or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).
• Familiarity with interoperability and healthcare data standards such as ASTM, FHIR, HL7 from a security perspective.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements related to product cybersecurity (e.g., FDA Premarket Cybersecurity Guidance, IMDRF, EU MDR Annex I).
