The Role

JOB TITLE: Senior Manager, Global Media Strategy

JOB DESCRIPTION: Design and implement strategic revenue growth initiatives across Global Media. Analyze research, and data to understand user intent and measure outcomes for ongoing optimization. Support Global Media sales strategy for MLB content distribution worldwide and establish prospecting and research tools. Plug into analytics capabilities (both internal and external) to measure media partnership performance and valuation. Translate insights into recommendations that are clearly linked to the organization's strategy and goals. Collaborate with senior leaders and cross functional teams on the conception of ideas related to MLB’s evolving media business. Manage research budget and vendor relationships that support the department needs, including television and digital viewership data; media news subscriptions services; and specially-commissioned research projects. Help to align the Global Media Team’s strategic direction with organizational goals. Work with the MLB Sales, Digital, and Betting departments to aid in strategy and analysis of various MLB initiatives related to content distribution. Support MLB Clubs with any and all research requests related to MLB viewership outside of the United States. Maintain a weekly newsletter of information for the Global Media department of the most up-to-date trends and transactions in the industry. 5-10% domestic and international travel required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Sports Management, Organizational Management, Business Administration or Data Analytics. Requires 5 years of experience in a Global Media, Media Research and Analytics, Data Analyst or related position identifying patterns and trends in media to determine business needs and improvements in the sports industry. Experience must include: performing statistical analysis and research design to drive solutions; analyzing consumption data across linear TV and digital streaming platforms; analyzing data and insights to develop a cohesive narrative and actionable conclusions; using analytics and analyzing key metrics to define KPIs and identify trends; and utilizing Tableau, Looker, SQL, and Google Analytics. Telework permitted within commuting distance to worksite.

LOCATION: MLB Advanced Media, L.P. – 1271 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY 10020

SALARY: $120,000- $125,000/year
