As a Senior Manager within the Insurance & Actuarial Solutions team at Deloitte Financial Risk Management, you will have an impact on the global financial services industry by offering your technical expertise during projects and carrying out complex assignments in multidisciplinary teams. As a professional, you will be responsible for managing teams and will often be the primary point of contact for clients. As well as managing project teams, you will play a key role in strengthening our position as a leading insurance advisor in the market. For the role of Senior Manager at FRM, we are looking for someone with the following qualities:

• You will have at least 10 years' experience in quantitative roles within the actuarial world, risk management, modelling, validations and/or transformations, ideally in the financial and corporate sector and specifically in the non-life insurance sector. Experience with disability insurance is advantageous, but not required;
• You have experience of project-oriented work and of managing multidisciplinary teams;
• You are able to facilitate change and achieve excellent results in different organisations, and have very strong communication skills;
• You have a commercial mindset and can advise clients based on your excellent commercial, technical and organisational skills;
• You can build and develop new propositions;
• You are ambitious, independent, and able to perform under pressure;
• You are a team player who derives energy from collaborating with experts in your field, both locally and internationally, as well as with other Deloitte functions and countries;
• You are a resident of the Netherlands;
• You have a good command of English, both verbally and in writing.

Actuarial:

• Insurance advises clients on various aspects of the actuarial cycle and insurer business processes.
• Sustainable Insurance advises clients on sustainability-related issues, such as the risks and opportunities relating to nature and climate for insurers.
• Pensions solving benefit and pension issues, analysing the impact of new laws and regulations, and developing models and tools for pension calculations.

Banking:

• Market Risk develops and validates models for market, trading and price risk, including value-at-risk and expected shortfall models.
• Climate helps to identify, analyse and mitigate climate risks through risk assessments, stress testing and modelling.
• Asset and Liability Management manages the balance sheet from both a funding and interest rate perspective by developing and validating interest rate and liquidity risk models and using these models to provide the necessary insights.
• Credit Risk develops advanced models to meet current and future regulatory requirements (Basel, CRR, etc.).

Financial Risk Management focuses on model development and validation for major financial services companies in the Netherlands, using quantitative methods and techniques to solve various challenges. These include modelling techniques from quantitative finance, statistics and applied mathematics.
