Description
Digitain is looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to join its General Business Legal Department.
Forming part of Legal Directorate, in this senior role you will ensure that company operates according to the highest legal, compliance and ethical standards.
You will be responsible for legal matters related to the global business operations, including procurement, marketing, construction, works and services – supporting both domestic and international projects – facilitating cross-border transactions, and supporting strategic business initiatives. This position requires a strategic mindset, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to manage complex cross-border legal issues.
Responsibilities
- Day-to-day drafting, reviews, negotiations and solidifying agreements and other legal documents across general business functions
- Accurate, solution-oriented legal advice on a range of business and operational matters
- Advice management and internal teams on legal risks, options, and recommendations
- Conduct legal risk assessments for major business initiatives and operations
- Perform legal research and analysis of Armenian and international legislation
- Facilitate cross-border transactions and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and internal policies
- Maintain documentation and legal reporting in line with the Legal Directorate’s standards
- Handle other tasks and projects as assigned to meet business objectives
Requirements
- LL.B. and LL.M. degrees in Law
- At least 6-9 years of professional experience in a law firm or as an in-house legal adviser in a commercial organization
- Strong background in International Business Law, Private International Law, IP Law, Licensing Law
- Strong knowledge of RA Civil and Administrative Legislation
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Russian
- Strong drafting skills
- Strong analytical thinking and having an eye for detail
- Strong ability to organize and prioritize workload whilst meeting tight deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
- Proactive, reliable, and self-motivated professional with a high level of integrity
- Proficiency in document and project management tools (Microsoft Office, Google Docs, etc.)
