About the Role
As a Sr. Instructional Designer & Content Developer, you will develop learning materials to build employee skills across the organization. As we craft the future of learning at Workday, we are constantly aligning with our business partners to identify the skill needs across Workday and key gaps we can address. This role works with our portfolio managers to address those skill needs through different learning modalities including e-learning, instructor-led training (ILT), facilitated peer learning, and assets such as videos.

Instructional Design - Design and develop both instructor-led training and on-demand e-learning across topics ranging from Core Skills (e.g., adapting to change, giving feedback) and Talent enablement (e.g., navigating annual performance conversations); advise on instructional design strategy, recommend learning methods, and measurement strategies for new programs and courses.

Content Development - Build a variety of assets to support our learning programs including videos, quick-cards, instructor materials, and others.

Teamwork - Lead design projects of all sizes and enable collaboration among advisors and subject-matter guides; understanding learning objectives and needs, co-create designs, ask for and implement feedback, and iterate as needed.

Project Management - Collaborate with partners to build project plans, align to timelines and assess whether courses are meeting identified objectives and key results.
About You
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years directly related experience in the following fields: learning and development, content development, graphic design.
- Experience in learning and development design required.
Other Qualifications
We believe you will possess interests and experiences in these areas:
- Instructional Design - Apply industry knowledge and research findings of the latest in instructional design and learning across both e-learning and instructor-led training (ILT); and help program owners and designers to implement these standards.
- Content Development - Familiarity with key development platforms including Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite required; knowledge of video design/editing, graphic design, and Articulate Rise platform preferred.
- Collaboration - Cultivate collaborative relationships with a diverse group of partners representing different experiences, backgrounds, and organizations.
- Results-Orientation - Deliver committed results in a fast-paced, high-quality environment according to project schedules
- Adaptability - Shift gears comfortably as business needs evolve. Proactively seek out feedback and opportunities for improvement, and adapt your design solutions in response.
- Innovation - Experiment with new learning formats and methodologies and iterate based on feedback and success metrics.
Workday Pay Transparency Statement
The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $114,200 USD - $171,200 USD
Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $108,500 USD - $197,000 USD
