About the Role:
As a Senior Façade Engineer, you will deliver high-quality façade design and structural solutions for complex projects across the UAE and GCC. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, provide specialist input during design and tender phases, and ensure compliance with local codes and client requirements. The role requires expertise in various façade systems and construction methodologies, including curtain walls, cladding, balustrades, and lightweight structures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead façade design projects, including analysis, evaluation, calculations, and drawings.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams (Architecture, Structural, MEP, Acoustic, Fire & Life Safety, Project Management).
- Prepare and review engineering calculations, structural analysis, and technical reports.
- Use AutoCAD, Rhino, and Revit to develop and communicate design documentation.
- Liaise with manufacturers, system suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure buildability and compliance.
- Review project specifications, material submittals, and shop drawings for performance and compliance.
- Conduct site visits, façade surveys, and provide remediation proposals as needed.
- Mentor and train junior staff; manage routine contract administration.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality documentation and client-focused solutions.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil or Structural)
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in façade engineering (consultancy and contracting experience preferred); UAE experience is essential.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, and façade/structural finite element software (e.g., Strand 7, STAAD).
- Strong knowledge of façade systems, design, and relevant codes/standards.
- Programming experience (Rhino script, Grasshopper, Python, VB, C#) is an advantage.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in technical report writing and presenting design concepts.
Location: Makati, Quezon City, or Cebu (depending on home base / location)
