Job Description:

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Senior Data Science & Analytics Engineer to join our Data Science, Analytics & Methods team at the Pratt & Whitney India Engineering Center (IEC) in Bengaluru, India. The role involves collaboration with multi-disciplinary organizations, including system-level, module-level, and component-level teams, across the product life cycle.

The primary focus of this role is to leverage Large Language Models (LLMs) for developing and enhancing knowledge management chatbots and LLM agents. These will advance engineering processes by driving automation and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with engineering organization leads to identify opportunities for leveraging data science and analytics to enhance operations.
• Use LLMs and cloud technologies to develop, deploy, and improve processes related to data retrieval, process automation, and process optimization.
• Define, prototype, test/validate, deploy, and monitor large language models (LLMs) and LLM agents to support engineering applications and drive process improvements.
• Recommend and implement appropriate DevOps pipelines, cloud technologies, and software solutions to support scalable and efficient deployments.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation for machine learning models, LLMs, and associated tools.
• Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Take ownership of assigned project milestones, ensuring adherence to schedules and quality standards.
• Provide guidance to less-experienced professionals and act as a resource for technical expertise where needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (with 8+ year experience) or Advanced degree (with 7+ year experience) in Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics or Statistics
• Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and their application in real-world scenarios.
• Proficiency in machine learning tools and programming languages such as Python.
• Hands-on experience with cloud technologies for deploying applications and building DevOps pipelines
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Demonstrates excellent judgment and professional maturity.
• Quick learner with a creative problem-solving mindset

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in aerospace domain.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud computing platforms
• Proven ability to bridge the gap between technical expertise and business needs.
