Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Ensure the acquisition of new customers in Asian markets and new projects from existing customers to secure the agreed order intake for the fiscal year

  • Identify new business opportunities and partnerships in countries such as Japan, South Korea, and China

  • Analyze regional market trends, regulatory requirements, and the competitive environment to derive business opportunities

  • Confidently represent the Rentschler brand to customers and at trade fairs to sustainably build Rentschler's brand as a competent CDMO

  • Initiate and coordinate customer visits with specialized departments

  • Work closely with interdisciplinary teams (process development, quality, regulatory affairs, production) and coordinate with global BD teams

  • Manage targeted communication with customers from initial contact to contract conclusion

  • Negotiate framework agreements and commercial supply contracts

  • Ensure the total order intake in the respective area of responsibility to contribute to the planned total order intake of the company

  • Monitor international biopharmaceutical markets and integrate findings into the Rentschler Biopharma Corporate Radar to detect new technologies for Rentschler and identify substitution technologies

What is important to us
  • Scientific university degree with many years of relevant professional experience

  • Solid knowledge in business development and a good network in the biopharmaceutical industry in Asia

  • Expertise and experience in the development and/ or production of biopharmaceuticals

  • Experience dealing with complex molecules such as monoclonal antibodies and recombinant proteins

  • Proficient in English, both spoken and written

  • Intercultural competence and the ability to build sustainable relationships with international business partners

  • High level of entrepreneurial thinking

  • Willingness to travel

  • Excellent presentation skills

  • Knowledge of project management methods
