Who you are:
As a member of Pharma Brazil’s Data Privacy Team, you will ensure compliance with privacy laws while advising on data governance and AI strategy. You will act as a key advisor, implement privacy frameworks, and support initiatives aligned with global and local objectives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to manage privacy risks in data-driven projects.
Key responsibilities:

Act as a legal advisor and strategic business partner on privacy matters towards all hierarchical levels in close collaboration with global and local business, digital, policy and IT function

Assist Roche Brazil in shaping our AI strategy, impact global AI projects, and provide counsel on AI-risk matters.

Develop, implement and communicate privacy-related policies, procedures and guidelines furthermore provide training and education

Shape and play an active role in the group-wide privacy risk management

Support the continuous development of the privacy governance and risk management model and monitor and inform on developments in privacy laws and their interpretation
Requirements:

Bachelor degree qualified in law, an admitted legal practitioner in Brazil and have a valid legal practicing certificate (OAB).

Fluent in English.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience, ideally gained in a top-tier law firm, tech-focused boutique law firm or corporate environment supporting companies in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or technology industry.

Minimum 3 years of work experience in the field of privacy and/or technology.

Great understanding of industry trends and updates to relevant legislation and codes, primarily LGPD, ANPD regulations, GDPR, AI Act, Medical Devices Regulation, In Vitro Diagnostics Regulation, and relevant case law regarding data privacy in Brazil and EU.

Experience in intellectual property, personality rights, and public-private partnerships is a plus.

Availability to work in a hybrid model. Our office is located in São Paulo.
