Come and join the Optum Insight (OI) Payer Data Intake (PDI) team on our mission to streamline the intake of our customer data reducing the strain on customers purchasing multiple services and helping our downstream teams by providing a canonical data model (CDM) for ingestion. On our team you will use the latest cloud and big data technologies and have many learning and career growth opportunities.
This position will be responsible working on customer pipeline implementations and participating in architecture and engineering initiatives.
You will enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Implement customer workloads in transformation to CDM using Data Bricks
  • Collaborate to continually innovate and improve the implementation process
  • Perform code reviews with engineering team members
  • Partner with Infrastructure engineers on roadmap
  • Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions to address complex business challenges with emphasis on responsible use of AI

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in CS or IT or engineering related field
  • 5+ years of overall IT experience
  • 2+ years of experience with Big Data Engineering using Data Bricks (Azure Preferred)
  • 1+ years of experience in Public Cloud Engineering (Azure Preferred)
  • 1+ years of CI/CD experience (Github preferred)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Functional Development Experience (Python, C#)
  • Azure Architecture and Engineering using one or more of the following technologies (one or more Azure Functions, API Development, Service Bus)
  • Infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred)
  • Experience with Azure Big Data - Scala, Spark, ADF

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
