Responsibilites
- Translate business requirements into a scalable, multi-tenant data model.
- Build and maintain dbt pipelines for data transformation.
- Develop Airflow DAGs to orchestrate and monitor ETL workflows.
- Optimize Redshift (or chosen warehouse) for query performance and cost efficiency.
- Implement and maintain CDC pipelines for near real-time synchronization.
- Utilize Snowflake or Apache Iceberg for scalable data warehousing.
- Leverage AWS services (DMS, ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3) to support data infrastructure.
- Implement data quality checks, lineage documentation, and SLA-based alerting.
- Enforce data governance, security, and compliance (GDPR/CCPA).
- Collaborate with backend, frontend, and product teams to align data solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers on SQL, and data modeling best practices.
What you'll need
- 3+ years of experience in a Data Engineering or related role, with a focus on building data pipelines
- A strong engineering background and a clear passion for data and analytics
- Ability to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
- An inquisitive nature in diving into data inconsistencies to pinpoint issues
- Experience with AWS cloud platform
- Fluency in SQL
- Experience with Snowflake (a bonus), dbt, Redshift, or BigQuery
- At least one analytics/BI tool such as Tableau/ Looker/ GoodData
- The ability to communicate cross-functionally, derive requirements and architect shared datasets
