Role OverviewThe Senior Corporate Accountant will own key aspects of the corporate accounting lifecycle, including month-end close activities, general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. This role partners closely with property accounting, operations, and our offshore finance team to ensure accurate financial records and timely reporting.

Month-end close and journal entries
Account reconciliations and variance analysis
Financial reporting and support for audits
Process documentation and controls

Key ResponsibilitiesMonth-End Close & General LedgerPrepare and review month-end and quarter-end journal entries for corporate accounts
Maintain the general ledger, ensuring account balances are accurate and supported
Coordinate close tasks with property accounting and offshore teams to meet reporting deadlines
Perform and review account reconciliations (bank, prepaid, accruals, intercompany, fixed assets, etc.)
Investigate and resolve reconciling items and provide clear variance explanations
Produce analytical support for balance sheet and P&L movements
Prepare monthly financial reports and schedules for internal stakeholders and owners
Support external audits and tax information requests, including preparation of schedules and documentation
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls
Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and process documentation for corporate accounting tasks
Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve accuracy, and automate recurring tasks
Lead or participate in cross-functional projects to improve system integrations and reporting capabilities
Mentor and review work performed by junior accountants and offshore team members
Collaborate with property accounting, operations, and technology teams to resolve issues and improve data flows
Provide finance support for ad hoc projects and business initiatives
4+ years of accounting experience in corporate accounting, public accounting, or property management finance
Strong knowledge of GAAP and experience with month-end close and reconciliations
Proficiency with accounting systems and Excel; experience with property management or ERP systems is a plus
Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work across distributed teams
