Job Description

Develops, implements and maintains company compensation policies and programs. This role will partner with the business to ensure the achievement of equitable and competitive employee compensation. This role will also serve as the primary point of contact as it relates to compensation programs and processes. This role may partner with other compensation team members to analyze, design and communicate company compensation programs such as salary structures, bonus plans, and stock plans.

What you will do:

  • Partner with and support the business area to develop, implement and administer compensation policies and program
  • Consult on compensation matters with Human Resource Business Partners & Business Leaders
  • Perform deep analysis on effectiveness and competitiveness of existing compensation programs and model potential impact of alternatives
  • Drive compensation program changes with business area(s) - from presenting to senior leadership to communications & training with LOB people managers
  • Formulate recommendations regarding development of company salary structure, FLSA exemptions, job revisions and organizational structures
  • Prepare special studies and recommendations on subjects such as incentive compensation, bonus plans, sales compensation or stock plans
  • Utilize analytical skills to build standard compensation dashboards that will be used across the company
  • Audits jobs for content and prepares job descriptions reflecting job responsibilities, activities, duties, and requirements, FLSA recommendation
  • Participates in compensation surveys to collect and analyze competitive salary information to determine company's competitive position
  • Reviews proposed salary adjustments for conformance to established guidelines, policies and practices
  • Recommends corrective or alternative actions to resolve compensation-related problems
  • Provide coaching and training to the HR team and managers on compensation topics
  • Acts as a mentor in area of expertise
  • Provides organizational level strategic expertise in functional area
  • Follows developments in FLSA/DOL exception issues and communicates to others as appropriate​

What you will need:

  • 8+ years of corporate compensation experience
  • Advanced Excel skills - Macros, Pivot Tables, etc
  • Powerpoint & presentation experience
  • Desire & ability to interact with senior leadership
  • Strong presentation & facilitation skills
  • Ability to manage complex job specific projects
  • Ability to effectively communicate through the written and spoken word to associates, all levels of management & external vendors & clients
  • Ability to bring diverse groups together to gain consensus
  • Strong planning and project mgmt skills

What will set you apart:

  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or equivalent work experience
  • Experience working at a technology company or start-up
  • CCP Certification - Certified Compensation Professional
  • Experience with Workday
  • Experience with Radford benchmark surveys
