Senior Communications Coordinator

As a senior communications coordinator you will support the development and delivery of engaging internal communications across multiple channels, including email, digital platforms, events, and the company intranet. You’ll assist with content planning, employee engagement initiatives, reporting, and the coordination of corporate events to help keep teams informed, connected, and recognized.
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about communication, time management, detail and design. You write and speak clearly, manage multiple priorities with accuracy, catch the smallest typo and know how visuals can strengthen a message. You’re quick to learn, curious about new technology, comfortable exploring AI tools, energized by collaboration and teamwork, and believe great work can be both high-performing and fun.
In this role, the successful candidate is required to be in the greater Vancouver, B.C. area, where we practice a remote-first working model, leveraging in person interactions for strategic, collaborative, and social purposes.

What you’ll do:
- Support the internal communications team to compile and distribute content that informs and engages team members across various mediums – digital, email, TV screens, in-store, video, presentations.
- Aggregate and send e-newsletters and other recaps to large groups of employees at Best Buy Canada.
- Manage and execute ad hoc and regular communications that celebrate and highlight people and teams across the business (corporate, distribution centres, and stores).
- Monitor inboxes, and maintain content calendars, weekly reports, and corporate and event trackers.
- Support the execution of online, hybrid and in-person events and meetings, including town hall meetings and other corporate events.
- Track and measure the success of communications channels and create regular performance reports to inform the internal communications strategy.
- Manage and maintain content on the intranet portal and other communication platforms.
What we’re looking for:
- 3+ years of communications experience in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment.
- 3+ years of business/operations experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree or combination of experience and education.
- Retail experience is a huge asset. Experience navigating a large organization with a significant number of frontline team members is a bonus.
- BA in Communications, Journalism, or English; fluency in spoken and written French; and experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, video editing, content management systems, and AI tools and technology are all assets.
