The Cloud Engineer will support the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) by performing cloud engineering activities related on the NASIC Enterprise platform to assist with configuring Istio Service Mesh. This project offers the ability to work a hybrid schedule with a team of highly skilled engineers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Research, prototype, and deploy new Cloud Service Mesh capabilities
- Work collaboratively with a team of disparate contractors
- Build/Optimize cloud architecture
- Present work completed to NASIC
Required Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or relevant technical field
- US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance
- Ability to communicate technical details of work
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and take ownership for segments of a project
- Ability to build & optimize build pipelines
- Mentoring of junior engineers
Required Experience
- 10 years of experience
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Experience with Istio Service Mesh
- Experience with Linux CLI
- Experience with shell scripting
- Experience with Hashicorp Vault is a plus but not required
- Experience with AWS or similar
- Experience with highly scalable microservice ecosystems
Desired Experience
- Active TS/SCI
- Security + Certification
