Founded in 2008 in Lithuania, Vinted began as a way for friends to find new homes for clothes they no longer needed. In 2019, we became Lithuania's first unicorn! Today, our headquarters remain in Vilnius, and we've grown with offices across Europe, supported by a team of over 2,000 people.
V-Assist is Vinted’s internal AI assistant designed to reduce operational overhead by making it easy to find information, navigate systems, and handle routine tasks. Following a successful beta with over 1,000 users, V-Assist is now evolving into a core AI platform for engineering productivity, data discoverability, and back-office self-service. We are forming a dedicated team within the Data Infrastructure domain and hiring Senior and Lead Backend Engineers to drive this and help us scale V-Assist's impact across every corner of Vinted.

In this position, you’ll- Lead the design of V-Assist’s core agent framework
- Design and implement secure, auditable agentic workflows with impersonation controls.
- Optimize indexing pipelines to ensure the LLM always has the most relevant and up-to-date context from across the company.
- Partner with Staff Engineers and stakeholders across Engineering, Product, Design and DSA to turn high-level visions into executable technical roadmaps.
- Develop a multi-agent workspace where humans and AI work together to solve complex, cross-domain problems.
- Design self-improvement loops using feedback to continuously refine the platform’s accuracy and performance.
- Mentor IC2 and IC3 engineers, conducting high-impact code reviews and ensuring high engineering quality across the team.
- Deep proficiency in Python, Ruby or Go, with a strong grasp of distributed systems, concurrency.
- Proven track record of building and scaling complex backend systems in high-ambiguity environments.
- Pragmatic architect who balances long-term stability with the need to take "smart" technical debt to move fast.
- Familiar with GenAI and RAG, and excited about the challenge of applying these technologies safely at an enterprise scale.
- Strong communicator who can lead technical discussions and drive alignment across the team and broader organization.
