Job Description
- Engineering and execution of the Distributed Control System (DCS) and other Control Systems for Energy from Waste (EfW) and Renewable Gas (RG) plants
- Preparation and review of control system hardware design documents (cabinet layout drawings, wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, termination drawings)
- Participation in Factory Acceptance Testing of different control systems
- Responsible for completeness of the CAE lists related to his products (signal exchange lists, I/O lists, etc.)
- Coaching and Training of entry level members and other Automation Engineers
- Participation in project risk assessments (HAZOP, SIL assessment, Cyber Security Risk Assessment) and in design review meetings with customers and suppliers
- Willingness to travel approx. 10%
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Automation with minimum 5 years of experience in engineering of Control Systems, preferably in power plant applications
- Good knowledge of various bus communication protocols (Profibus, Profinet, ModbusTCP, IEC104, OPC UA)
- Good knowledge of field instrumentation and measuring principles for pressure, temperature, level and flow
- TUV Rheinland Functional Safety Engineer or ISA Cyber Security Engineer certificate is an advantage
- Fluency in English. German and other languages are an advantage
