Job Description
- Engineering and execution of the Distributed Control System (DCS) and other Control Systems for Energy from Waste (EfW) and Renewable Gas (RG) plants
- Preparation of the technical specifications for components and systems, technical evaluation of bids and joint selection of suppliers
- Supervision of suppliers throughout the whole project implementation phase (kick of meeting, project status meetings, review of supplier documentation, etc)
- Preparation and review of control system hardware design documents (cabinet layout drawings, wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, termination drawings)
- Engineering and selection of field instruments (pressure, temperature, level, flow, analyzers) for Energy from Waste (EfW) and Renewable Gas (RG) plants, including preparation of hook-up drawings
- Participation in Factory Acceptance Testing of different control systems and project risk assessments (HAZOP, SIL assessment, Cyber Security Risk Assessment) and design review meetings with customers and suppliers
- Interface coordination and collaboration with other project team members and package unit suppliers and supporting commissioning team
- Assist Manager in a development and implementation of a department strategy
- Coaching and Training of entry level members and Support other Automation Engineers in resolving DCS related technical matters
- Reviewing technical specifications and RfQ documentation to ensure accuracy, conformance with codes and client specifications
- Willingness to travel approx. 10%
Qualifications
- Several years of experience in engineering of Control Systems, preferably in power plant applications
- Good knowledge of various bus communication protocols (Profibus, Profinet, ModbusTCP, IEC104, OPC)
- Good knowledge of field instrumentation and measuring principles for pressure, temperature, level and flow
- Functional Safety Engineer certificate and Cyber Security Engineer certificate an advantage
- Fluency in English, German and other languages are an advantage
- Experience with design of instruments and cables in ATEX environment and commissioning is an advantage
- Knowledge of CAE Tools (Comos, etc), MS Office and Electrical engineering tools (EPLAN, Siemens SIMARIS will be an advantage)
- Project Management knowledge is an advantage
