About This role:
We’re looking for a Senior FP&A Associate to join our Strategic Finance team to help drive financial planning, forecasting, analysis, and performance reporting for our Insurance business. In this highly visible role, you’ll partner with cross-functional leaders and finance leadership to deliver insights that drive business performance.
The ideal candidate is a highly analytical, detail-oriented finance professional with strong business acumen, a passion for operational insights, and the ability to influence decision-making in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Experience in insurance, financial services, or related industries is strongly preferred.

You’ll serve as a key partner across finance and insurance functions, building, maintaining, and enhancing complex financial models that drive operational and strategic planning. You will own critical forecasting processes, support key business reviews, and work with leadership to identify opportunities for optimization and growth.

What You'll Do:
- Develop and maintain detailed financial models to support forecasting, scenario planning, and decision-making
- Partner with underwriting, claims, actuarial, and operational teams to understand key business drivers and translate them into actionable financial insights
- Lead monthly and quarterly financial reporting, variance analysis, and performance reviews
- Analyze large, complex data sets (e.g., claims, premiums, policies) to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities
- Leverage SQL, Excel, and BI tools (e.g., Looker, Power BI) to extract, analyze, and visualize data
- Support annual budgeting and long-term strategic planning initiatives
- Contribute to capital planning, reinsurance analysis, and other corporate finance projects
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to scale planning and reporting efficiency
- Assist in crafting financial presentations for executive leadership, translating complex data into clear, compelling business narratives
Must Haves:
- 3–5 years of experience in financial planning & analysis, corporate finance, or related roles (insurance experience a strong plus)
- Proven track record owning monthly/quarterly close, variance analysis, and building financial models
- Strong analytical skills, with mastery of Excel and working knowledge of SQL
- Deep understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and business drivers
- Ability to analyze and interpret large data sets and deliver actionable insights
- Experience supporting strategic decision-making in high-growth, fast-paced environments
- Self-starter with excellent project management skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize competing demands
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively across teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to leadership
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related quantitative field
Nice To Haves:
- Insurance industry experience, particularly in property and casualty (P&C)
- Experience with SQL, Python, or additional data analysis tools
- Prior exposure to reinsurance or capital planning processes
