Job Description

Checkout.com is looking for a Senior Associate, Financial Control to join our US Finance team reporting to the Regional Finance Director.

This is a very exciting opportunity for a finance professional to join a rapidly expanding global company. The role is in a multi-layered global finance team and will be a central point for finance for the North America region, covering our North America entities. 

The ideal candidate shows willingness to be hands-on, someone that is self motivated with excellent communication skills. You will be joining a growing global controller team that is building a more controlled and best in class environment. The role will play an integral role in the reporting and month end processes for our regulated and non regulated North America entities. Additionally, the role will support regional financial audits and other functions across Checkout.com to ensure all entities remain compliant. 

Role overview | Remit and responsibilities:

  • Assist in the monthly close process by preparing various journal entries and reconciliations and ensuring timely preparation for our North America entities.

  • Own the management/financial reporting to ensure local entity ledgers are complete and accurate.

  • Prepare monthly local financial statements and state specific reports for our regulated entity.

  • Support the audits for the North America entities, as well as supporting the Group UK audit.

  • Support the development and documentation of accounting processes.

  • Cash flow management to ensure sufficient funding is available to meet business needs

  • Participate in local or global ad hoc projects as necessary.

Qualifications


  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Holds a CPA license, and has a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (Workday would be highly desired) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc)

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate with all levels

  • 4+ years of accounting experience (preferably 2 years in public accounting).

Additional Information

For regular, full-time employees in New York City, the estimated base salary for this role is $98,456.00 - $115,830.50 per year. Additionally, this role is eligible to earn an annual cash bonus.
