About your team
Enterprise Data Management Platform Team has been formed to execute FIL’s data strategy and be a data-driven organization. The team is responsible for building and running the systems that process and serve data across the organization so that data is reliable, secure, and usable for analytics, products, and decision-making. The capabilities of this team include but not limited to data cataloguing and data quality tooling. The team also ensures the adoption of tooling, enforce the standards and deliver on foundational capabilities.
About your role
The successful candidate will be part of the Enterprise Data Management Platform team, responsible for designing, developing, and operating core capabilities of the Data Management Platform that underpin the organisation’s data strategy. The role involves implementing robust, scalable, and secure data solutions aligned with established architecture patterns, security controls, and accessibility standards, while producing and maintaining detailed technical documentation covering system configurations, operational procedures, and engineering best practices. You will contribute to platform reliability and maintainability, provide technical mentorship and troubleshooting support to junior engineers and users, and collaborate effectively with cross‑functional and geographically distributed teams to deliver high‑quality, enterprise‑grade data services.
About you
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy Python‑based services following established guidelines.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs using Python frameworks with a focus on performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and data transformations.
- Utilize relational/cloud databases for data access and persistence.
- Hands‑on experience with Jenkins pipelines, build automation, and deployment workflows.
- Work on AWS‑based development, configuration, deployment, and operational support.
- Contribute to solution and application design, collaborating with architects and senior developers.
- Participate in incident troubleshooting, and root‑cause analysis to minimize downtime.
Experience and Qualifications Required
- B.E./B.Tech. or M.C.A. in Computer Science from a recognized university.
- 5–7 years of relevant industry experience.
- Experience across the software development lifecycle from development through production support.
- Exposure to working with multi‑cultural and geographically distributed teams.
