Description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and a passion for driving financial excellence in compliance with US GAAP and company policies. This role will be pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting while supporting the growth and development of the accounting team.
Responsibilities
- Execute month-end close and reconciliation processes to ensure timely, accurate financial data in compliance with US GAAP and company accounting policies
- Maintain and analyze balance sheet reconciliations for key accounts
- Perform variance and trend analyses as part of monthly financial close procedures, highlighting key drivers and insights
- Review Accounts Payable transactions for proper coding, approval, and documentation
- Collaborate with Operations and Supply Chain to ensure accuracy of inventory valuation and cost reporting
- Prepare supporting schedules and documentation in support of external audits
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounting function
- Uphold accounting policies and procedures that align with best practices and regulatory requirements
- Assist with supplier and customer onboarding processes
- Partner with and provide excellent service to other internal teams/departments to save them time and energy
- Maintain existing financial systems and assist with implementation of new financial systems as the company scales
- Proactively identify areas for process improvement and implement changes as appropriate
Qualifications
- 3-6 years of professional accounting experience and a bachelor’s degree in accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience. CPA preferred
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls over financial reporting
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly to various stakeholders
- Strong Excel skills and experience with manufacturing ERP systems
- Accounting experience working in the aerospace & defense or manufacturing industries preferred
- Self-starter with demonstrated history of ownership and accountability
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a capacity to identify issues and implement effective solutions
- Team player with exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Compensation
- $91,200 - $136,800
