The Company

Intellijoint Surgical develops effective and easy-to-use products to enhance surgeons’ care and patients’ lives. Today, Intellijoint technology lives in the operating room, helping surgeons improve implant positioning during hip and knee replacement surgeries. Our technology has been used in over 60,000 surgeries. We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our finance team to be part of bringing innovative technologies to the market!

The Position

As a Senior Accountant at Intellijoint Surgical, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate, timely, and reliable financial information as our company scales. Reporting to the Controller, you will take ownership of core accounting processes and support the month-end close, financial reporting, and compliance activities. You’ll also collaborate across teams — from Operations to Commercial to R&D — to help strengthen processes and provide insights that support decision-making.

This role is ideal for an accounting professional with strong technical skills who is ready to take on more responsibility beyond preparing audit files and is excited to grow in a fast-paced MedTech environment.

As a snapshot, we are looking for someone who:

  • Has a strong foundation in accounting and financial reporting (CPA designation or candidate is an asset, but not required)

  • Enjoys hands-on accounting work with opportunities to contribute analysis and insights

  • Thrives in a collaborative, scaling environment where processes are still evolving

Main Duties:

  • Execute core accounting functions, including journal entries, reconciliations, payroll, AR/AP, and inventory

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close and reporting cycles

  • Assist in preparing internal financial statements and departmental reports

  • Maintain accuracy of financial data and ensure compliance with policies and controls

  • Assist with annual audit preparation and liaise with external auditors as required

  • Contribute to budget preparation and tracking vs. actuals across departments

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and support automation/system enhancements

  • Provide ad hoc analysis to support business decisions and financial planning

Skills and Experience to Enable Success:

  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in industry or public accounting

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards

  • Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets and comfort with ERP/accounting systems

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines

  • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Analytical mindset and a willingness to learn and grow as the business evolves

Expectations & Employee Experience

  • It is unrealistic for us to believe we will find someone who fits this position 100%

  • Receive strong support towards career development and growth

  • Work with innovative products that can improve surgical outcomes and enhance patient’s quality of life

  • Work alongside a highly talented and driven group of team members and colleagues organization-wide

  • Work in an environment with high transparency and collaboration, along with lots of fun and social activities

  • Be ok with change and share in our excitement as we scale

  • Flexibility so that you can do your best both at work and outside of it
