The Senior Accountant, Investment Sales will perform accounting functions and provide support to the accounting department, management, and other office staff.
We Innovate to shape the future of CRE, so in this role you will:
Responsibilities:
- Notifies advisors, support staff, and management when fees are received and claim the wires in the EPM system.
- Verifies that the fee amount received is supported by deal documentation and follows up with advisors and support staff as needed.
- Communicates with advisors and support staff to resolve deal issues which impact recording the deal financial and statistical information to the general ledger and provides them with weekly payment details.
- Maintains employee and QREA commission calculation spreadsheets.
- Creates, imports and posts journal entries to record daily cash entries, the fees received, bi-weekly payroll taxes, and monthly journal entries.
- Reconcile daily bank statements within the accounting system.
- Prepare GL account reconciliations, including account analysis to ensure proper GL account and cost center coding.
- Maintains broker receivable spreadsheet.
- Creates, reconciles, and distributes the weekly IBR Report and PA Revenue Report.
- Approves fees and commissions in PeopleSoft HR for advisors who are independent contractors and verifies calculated commissions to be paid to the advisors.
- Reviews and verifies the weekly payroll schedule provided by the payroll compensation group.
- Obtains required approvals, codes invoices and submits the invoices through the Accounts Payable system in compliance with financial policies and procedures as needed.
- Processes and validates expense reimbursements for QREAs as needed.
- Notifies the payroll and compensation group of payment deductions for advisors who are independent contractors.
- Reconciles the weekly advisor payment schedule to the wires sent to ADP and the entries that are posted to the general ledger to record the commission payments.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in a similar position
