What you will do:
Performing accounting records and reconciliations for the monthly closing in an accurate and timely manner. Participating in accounting systems migrations and user tests. The jobholder is expected to develop an expertise in insurance accounting and insurance operational matters.
Your day-to-day:
- Monthly reconciliation of insurance revenues and expenses, including suspense accounts monitoring
- Perform manual journals where needed
- Suggest accounting setups in ERP for new products and modifications
- Participate in projects for systems improvements and migrations
- Participation in UAT's (User Acceptance Tests) to ensure correct accounting depiction
- Liaise with auditors to deliver all items requested and assist in closing findings
Qualifications:
- University degree in Accounting, Finance or related subject
- At least 4 years of prior work experience in accounting, reporting or auditing preferably in Insurance sector
- Strong accounting background is a must / Understanding financial reporting would be a plus
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Previous experience in ERP applications. Participation in ERP implementations will be considered a strong plus
