Job Description

The Senior Accountant shall be responsible for maintaining the financial accounts in accordance with applicable accounting standards.

• Perform monthly accounts closing, ensure adherence to accounting requirements
• Handles AR, AP, GL functions for multiple entities
• Perform monthly bank reconciliation, financial analysis and reconciliation
• Prepare intercompany billings, and monthly intercompany reconciliation
• Support coordination to ensure payments are appropriately and timely processed
• Prepare monthly financial statements, account analysis and Group reporting
• Prepare management reports and variance analysis for report to the FP&A team
• Assist with financial year-end statutory accounting and audit requirements
• Support in the preparation of GST & corporation tax returns, and tax compliance requirements
• Prepare AR Aging report, payment forecast and support cash management
• Supervise junior Accountants on financial reporting of the companies
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and support coordination of yearly accounting procedures
• Support implementation of Group policies, and ensure compliance to Financial Reporting Standards
• Contribute and/or drive streamlining of processes to improve efficiency and quality of data/reports
• Ensure proper document filings and undertake other ad-hoc assignments as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in Accounting or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years experience in full set accounting, preferably in the manufacturing sector
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to manage tight timelines effectively
• Demonstrates a positive attitude and the ability to work independently
• Proactive and can collaborate well with others
