The Position
Mission
You will lead the Data Advisory and Insights section within the Data and Analytics (DnA) chapter in Roche Informatics. As a Section Lead you will focus on capabilities development of your section members that align with the DnA vision. You will encourage your team to self-define their career journey and seek ways to enable development opportunities in the direction of the journey. You will have an understanding of the roles within your section to provide mentorship when needed.
What you'll be working on
Expertise from the DnA Chapter will be embedded into initiatives across multiple business and foundational domains across our Roche Pharma and Dia value chain. DnA chapter members will contribute to value generation and promote cross-functional analysis and collaboration. In addition to partnering with teams across the business to develop solutions, scale and automate data pipelines, contribute to insights generation etc, chapter members are uniquely placed to connect the dots across initiatives, promote information sharing across domains and recommend re-use of data, analytics and solutions wherever possible.
The Data Advisory and Insights section in DnA chapter focuses on capabilities helping to make informed decisions by combining data insights, tools and infrastructure, data mining, and data visualization based on best practices. It focuses on leading and driving teams that use analytics to achieve their objectives. Data Advisory and Insights brings a focus on the capability of leading and driving analytics based squads and workstreams with a deep understanding of data topics.
You will work with Product Manager(s) and main stakeholders within your area of responsibility to help prioritize and generate value and impact from insight generation activities. The job also entails fostering synergies and efficiencies through re-use across the Domains, leveraging the Chapter setup to maximize the impact of DnA to the products you are supporting.

It is envisioned that the Chapter Section Lead role provides significant contribution with up to 50% of the time to product teams and internal informatics priorities.

Allocate talent to different roles in squads and ensure that they are deployed to value-creation opportunities

Monitor, analyze and improve the demand intake process to optimize effective people mobilization of both FTE and external workforce

What you’ll need to be successful

2+ years of people management experience and related area knowledge

Working experience in some data analytics capability areas (e.g., Data Product Ownership, Data Architecture, Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, Data Management and Governance,)

Hands-on analytics knowledge is not mandatory.
