This role will be located in Salt Lake City, UT or Brentwood, TN with the potential for remote for the right candidate.
The SEC Reporting Accountant will work with the SEC Reporting Team to timely and accurately prepare the company's SEC filings, perform additional accounting related aspects of his/her assigned departments, and act as a liaison (together with their manager) between department executives and the accounting department as needed.
Job Responsibilities
- Gather and organize supporting documentation for SEC filings
- Maintain SEC filing calendar and timeline
- Prepare monthly analytics and reports (including cash flows)
- Prepare monthly journal entries and reconciliations as needed
- Prepare monthly department outlook/forecasts as needed
- Liaison (together with their manager) between department executives and the accounting department as needed
- Perform other duties as required and assigned by manager and upper management
- Follow legal policies as directed
Job Requirements
- Knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Experience with SEC filings or public company accounting helpful but not required
- 0-2 years of accounting experience (public accounting preferred)
Skills
- Basic knowledge of Oracle accounting software helpful but not required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Strong writing skills
- Financial Analysis
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (MACC preferred)
Certifications
- Preference will be given to CPAs or CPA candidates
