Holman – a Computerworld 2024 “Best Places to Work in IT” company - is hiring a Scrum Master, to help deliver innovative solutions that drive our business forward.
We are seeking a continuous improvement minded, data-driven, and collaborative Scrum Master to join our Product Management team within the IT organization. The ideal candidate will be a strong facilitator who understands the intent of agile frameworks and ceremonies, and will help the teams strengthen how we execute.
Responsibilities:
• Facilitate all Agile Ceremonies: Leading daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Responsible for ensuring they are effective, focused on teams’ needs.
• Agile Coaching: Mentor teams and individuals on Scrum and Agile best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability.
• Team Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with product owners, developers and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of project goals and deliverables. Encourage open communication, trust and accountability.
• Metrics and Reporting: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for Scrum teams, ensuring visibility into progress and helping teams improve their velocity, quality, and delivery.
• Facilitate Product Backlog Management: Assist Product Owners in managing the backlog and ensuring that items are well-defined, prioritized, and ready for the upcoming sprint.
• Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement by guiding the team to reflect on processes and outcomes, identifying areas for enhancement, and driving incremental changes.
• Risk Management: Anticipate potential risks and challenges, and proactively work with teams to address them, minimizing the impact on delivery timelines and team morale.
• Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring expectations are clear and that teams are aligned with project goals.
• Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.
Education and/or Training:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
• Certification: Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent Agile certifications (e.g., SAFe, Lean, Kanban).
• Agile Expertise: Deep understanding of Agile principles, Scrum framework, and other Agile methodologies (Kanban, Lean, etc.).
• Tools: Proficiency with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, etc.)
• Proficient in various desktop tools including MS Office Programs (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, SharePoint etc.)
Relevant Work Experience:
• 4-7 years’ experience as a Scrum Master, with a proven track record of successfully leading Scrum teams in delivering high-quality software products.
• Experience working with distributed or remote teams.
• Experience in scaling Agile practices in large or complex organizations.
• Familiarity with software development processes and practices, including DevOps, CI/CD, and automated testing.

Pay:
We offer competitive wages that are commensurate with job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and geographic location, starting in the range of $97,450.00 - $141,300.00 USD annually for full time employees. The annual compensation range is comprised of base pay earnings.
