The Scientist II – Biochemistry and Analytical Chemistry for Cytiva is responsible for the optimization and scale up of processes related to membrane chromatography applications.
This position is part of the Bioprocess CTO organization located in Cytiva Pensacola and will be an on-site position. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.
What you will do:
- Focus on the testing and process optimization of new membrane chromatography technologies for current and future applications.
- Testing and evaluation of new membrane technologies (mechanical, flow, morphology and functional performance) including outside technologies
- Materials testing and data analysis
- Performance evaluation of new membrane technology, process optimization and scale up
- Work closely with the development and manufacturing groups on technology transfer and collaborate with other applications teams and the filtration R&D team.
Who you are:
- Bachelor in Biochemistry or analytical chemistry
- Strong background in AKTA testing, troubleshooting and
- Proteins purification techniques knowledge
- 2-to-3 years’ experience in lab work with a focus on chromatography for proteins purification and surface characterization of porous materials
- Experience in coating and membrane surface modification a plus
- Experience in testing and new technologies evaluation (chromatography, surface characterization).
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role
- Ability to travel for up to 10%
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Membrane testing
- Analytical chemistry knowledge
- Data analysis and good communication

The salary range for this role is 58,400.00 - 102,200.00 USD. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive
