SAP -Test Automation Lead

Overview:
The Automation Test Lead is a pivotal role within our Quality Assurance Tower, ensuring the seamless delivery of all phases of automated testing across various methodologies, including Agile, Hybrid Agile, and Waterfall. This role demands a thorough understanding of SAP test automation tools and approaches, enabling teams to leverage and deliver high-quality, efficient, and scalable testing solutions. A strong emphasis on tooling (on-premise or cloud) is essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Strategy:

• Lead the automation testing team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Define and implement the overall automation strategy, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automated testing seamlessly into the development lifecycle.

Planning and Execution:

• Oversee the planning, design, and execution of automation testing activities.
• Ensure thorough test coverage by developing comprehensive automation strategies and frameworks.
• Manage and prioritize testing activities to meet project deadlines and quality standards.

Tooling and Technology:

• Assess, select, and implement SAP automation tools such as Tosca and Worksoft to support Agile, Hybrid Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.
• Ensure the effective use of automation tools for functional, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Provide training and support to the team on automation tool usage and best practices.

Quality Assurance:

• Establish and enforce quality assurance processes and standards across all automation testing activities.
• Conduct regular reviews and audits of automation frameworks to identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure the identification, documentation, and resolution of defects and issues.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand requirements and expectations.
• Communicate automation testing progress, results, and issues to project teams and management.
• Advocate for quality and automation best practices within the organization.

Continuous Improvement:

• Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in automation testing.
• Implement innovative solutions and improvements to enhance automation efficiency and effectiveness.
• Mentor and coach team members, promoting skill development and knowledge sharing.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Proven experience as an SAP Automation Test Lead or similar role, with expertise in test automation.

• In-depth knowledge of test automation methodologies (in Agile, Hybrid Agile, Waterfall models) and best practices.

• Proficiency in SAP automation tools such as Tosca and Worksoft.

• Strong understanding of the role of automation testing in the systems implementation lifecycle.

• Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, ALM, TestRail).

• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment.

• Experience working on SAP S/4HANA
