Major Responsibilities:
Requirements Gathering & Communication: Act as a bridge between business users and technical teams, effectively communicating complex requirements and proposed solutions in a clear and concise manner.
Solution Design, Configuration, Development, & Implementation: Lead the design, development (of SAP RICEFW: Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflow), configuration, and implementation of SAP PS and CPM solutions tailored to meet specific business requirements and align with industry best practices.
Facilitate in establishing standards and best practices for designing, configuring, developing, testing, and implementing SAP solutions and lead team to leverage these standards and best practices to deliver high quality and cost effective solutions.
Business Process Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand existing business processes related to project management (e.g., planning, budgeting, execution, monitoring, control, financials) and translate them into detailed technical specifications for the SAP PS/CPM solution. Collaborate among cross-functional, onsite and offshore SAP specialists to design, build, unit test and support ABAP, Fiori, and Integration solutions that are on-time, first-time-right and within budget.
Ensure compliance to Release management, Change management and configuration management processes.
Integration Management: Ensure seamless integration of SAP PS/CPM with other critical SAP modules (like Finance, Controlling, Sales and Distribution) and potentially with third-party applications to achieve a unified and consistent data flow across the enterprise.
Technical Leadership & Guidance: Provide technical guidance, leadership, and mentorship to project teams and developers during the implementation and support phases.
Performance Optimization & Post Implementation Support: Oversee system performance, troubleshoot issues – provide 3rd level support – within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs), address security concerns, and ensure the stability and reliability of the implemented SAP PS/CPM systems.
Process Optimization: Analyze business processes and provide recommendations for improvements and efficiencies using SAP PS / CPM functionalities
Participate in following activities:
Analyze and plan SAP ECC upgrades
Create and resolve service requests in collaboration with SAP Support portal
Provide production support as per Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
Continuously improve system performance and reliability by identifying opportunities for root cause analysis and automation
Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Drive enhancements, explore new functionalities, stay updated with the latest SAP advancements (including S/4HANA and cloud technologies), and identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation within the SAP PS/CPM landscape.
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including architectural designs, solution specifications, integration points, and testing plan / scripts.
Required Education / Experience / Skills:
Educations:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience
Experience
8+ years of progressive experience building and supporting solutions based on SAP ECC PS and CPM modules in global environment – with at least 2or 3 full lifecycle implementations or 3+ years of monitoring, maintaining, enhancing, integrating and upgrading.
SAP Production Planning and Manufacturing Certification, awareness or Green Belt certification in Lean Six Sigma or APICS (CPIM, CIRM) certification preferred.
Technical Skills:
Highly skilled in SAP ECC Project System (PS) and Commercial Project Management (CPM) functionalities, including configuration, master data, and transaction processing.
Knowledge in other SAP modules like Materials Management (MM) and Production Planning (PP), Quality Management (QM), Sales and Distribution (SD), Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), Financial Accounting (FI), and Controlling (CO) will be a strong advantage.
Business Process Acumen: A deep understanding of industry-specific processes and business challenges related to project-based operations, allowing them to translate needs into effective SAP solutions.
Expertise in SAP tools such as SAP Data Services, SAP Migration Cockpit, SAP BW/4HANA, and system interfaces (XI, ALE, & IDOC)
Experience debugging SAP UI5 or HTML5, XML, JavaScript, SQL queries, Data Modeling tools, and Version Control tools
Knowledge of integration points between SAP ME and SAP S/4 utilizing SAPMEINT.
Strong understanding of industrial automation concepts, including SCADA systems, HMI/HMI interfaces, and data acquisition technologies.
