What we're looking for:

VP of Sales Engineering - Wrike

The ideal candidate comes from a technical background, has experience leading pre-sales teams and understands enterprise selling processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, recruit and develop a diverse and effective SE team. Build clear objectives for team members to reach sales and company goals. Ensure the team has an efficient mix of technical platform expertise as well as the domain understanding in key Wrike solution areas.
  • Refine and scale core sales engineering processes such as discovery, technical qualification, custom demonstrations, customer workshops and delivery of proof-of-concepts.
  • Mentor sales engineers on all aspects of their day-to-day customer-facing responsibilities including presentations, product demonstrations and solution design.
  • Coach sales engineers on technical selling skills and develop a framework for continuous performance feedback.
  • Maintain internal knowledge base to enable team members to access key information regarding Wrike use cases, solution designs, best practices, RFP technical submissions, proofs-of-concepts, and technical assets.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to build account plans and design, create and present business solutions to improve customer revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with a variety of internal functional areas to ensure solutions are implemented and supported in line with customer expectations.
  • Provide feedback on product development or enhancements to existing products to product management function.
  • Participate in regional industry events / organizations and represent the company as a thought leader.
  • Maintain knowledge of broader technology landscape and developments related to GoodData
  • Available for travel up to 50% of the time


Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of progressive leadership responsibility leading a technical sales and or technical practice team in the software industry
  • Extensive experience in a customer-facing role demonstrating SaaS solution capabilities and a proven understanding of SaaS sales processes


Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Analytics, Business Intelligence and/or Machine Learning (proficiency in SQL is helpful)
  • Track record of team selling and creating collaborative environments
  • Enthusiasm, energy, and ability to evangelize the SaaS platform
  • Experience in a customer-facing role such as consultant, technical solutions engineer or solutions architect
  • Comfortable with a dynamic environment -- we're a mature startup with a lot of momentum and market experience.
