The Basics:

The VP, Worldwide Sales Strategy & Operations leads the functions essential to sales productivity. You will be responsible for maturing Tanium’s sales operations processes to capitalize on the significant investments the company has made in multi-channel GTM strategy and enable consistent and predictable revenue growth in the most efficient way possible. You’re armed with a team of 15+ high performing sales operations professionals and best-in-class GTM tools and technology (e.g., Clari, Salesforce, Xactly, People.ai, Outlook, and Power BI). 

The ideal candidate knows what great sales operations looks like and is eager to make a substantial impact by bringing those processes to a scaling environment.  

  • You will work directly with the CRO and Sales Leadership to drive rigor and consistency in the sales operations function enabling it to serve as a proactive partner to the field. 
  • You will architect a mature sales operations vision and gain organization buy-in to execute against that vision.
  • You will report into the SVP of Worldwide Field Operations and lead all global field and partner sales operations including:
    • Sales forecasting
    • Quota setting & deployment
    • Sales resource planning & deployment
    • Incentive comp design
    • Resource performance assessment
    • Pipeline governance 

Job Requirements 

  • 15+ years of experience in driving global sales operations, ideally with 10+ years experience in a management/leadership role within enterprise software 
  • Demonstrated understanding of a SaaS and on-premise business model
  • Partner with Finance, Sales Analytics, Marketing and HR to drive rigor and consistency in reporting and to maximize growth.  
  • Experience designing and executing multi-dimensional GTM plans
  • Strong planning and analytical skills, with proven ability to apply these skills with deft business acumen to complex situations with competing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to write well, edit effectively and present complex issues and projects succinctly, logically, and persuasively across all levels of an organization
  • Familiarity with lead management and marketing performance reporting
  • Experience with GTM tools and technologies
