We are looking for a Sales leader who will lead our rapidly growing Trailer organization. This individual must have industry related experience and have a track record of building and scaling the sales go-to-market function within a high growth business. This is a highly visible role that will report directly to the Senior VP of Sales and will work closely with Marketing, Engineering, Product Management, Customer Support, and other executives across the company to develop and drive the go to market strategy for this business.
The primary responsibility of the Vice President of Sales - Trailer is to lead and execute sales and operational strategies to achieve the growth objectives. Hiring, developing and retaining a high-quality team to meet sales revenue and profitability objectives. The VP role will also be tasked with strategic planning, market growth, P&L responsibility, and sales strategies. The successful individual will anticipate and react quickly to trends and changes in performance and promptly initiate corrective actions.
Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategy development and execution for the Trailer Market Segment.
  • Motivate, coach, and provide direction to the Trailer sales team for continual skill development
  • Proactively drive the Trailer sales process and its individual key components.
  • Display deep understanding of the company Lead to Revenue cycle and continually seek to optimize it by partnering with key stakeholders
  • Provide thought leadership, business analysis and real-time execution on strategic initiatives to drive the business' growth
  • Assure the business has a planning and forecasting process in place to run the business.
  • Continually explore options for P&L Improvements through volume, price, mix, and expense controls.
  • Develop, nurture, and maintain oversight of relationships with key customers and strategic partnerships.


Requirements:

  • 8-10 years in proven revenue generation, including a proven track record of performance in strategy and operations role
  • 5+ years' experience in Trailer and Mobile Resource Management industry
  • Excellent executive presence, ability to drive adoption and credibility with Customer and Partner senior leadership
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of sales operations and enterprise sales models, including multi-channel distribution
  • Strong analytical, reporting, data manipulation, dashboard creation, and Business Intelligence skills
  • Excellent leadership ability, able to motivate sales staff to achieve sales objectives of the company.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to drive and build business plans and strategies
  • Detail-oriented but can also see the big picture. You can crunch the numbers and articulate the key takeaways in an executive summary.
  • Able to develop creative solutions to complex problems and gain buy-in of colleagues across functions
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or technical field or equivalent work experience, advanced degree is a plus.
  • 25-50% travel required - heavier in the first 6 months.
